Privacy Policy
Effective date: 23 October 2026. This policy covers the finance calculator app published by AUGUST SOFTWARES as India Finance Calculator on the App Store (iOS) and Advance Finance Calculator on Google Play (Android).
Summary
- No account or sign-in. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or financial account details.
- The numbers you type into calculators and your saved calculations stay on your device.
- The app collects limited, non-identifying usage and crash data through Google Firebase so we can fix bugs and improve the app.
- No advertising, no cross-app tracking, and we do not sell data.
Information stored on your device
Calculator inputs, results, saved calculations and preferences (such as light or dark theme) are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers. Deleting the app removes them.
Information collected automatically
The app uses the following Google Firebase services:
- Firebase Analytics: which screens and calculators are used, app version, device model, operating system version, approximate country, and a random app-instance identifier. This data is not linked to your identity.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports and diagnostic information (device model, OS version, app state at the time of the crash, and a random installation identifier).
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: a push token so we can send occasional app notifications, only if you allow notifications.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, and we do not use the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA). Google processes this data under its own terms: Firebase privacy information.
Purchases
On iOS the app has no in-app purchases. On Android, optional premium features are bought through Google Play Billing; payment details are handled entirely by Google, and the app only receives confirmation that a purchase was made.
How we use information
- To understand which calculators are useful and improve them.
- To find and fix crashes and performance problems.
- To send optional notifications about the app.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for advertising. Data is processed only by Google Firebase as our service provider, or where required by law.
Retention
Analytics and crash data are kept for a limited period under Firebase's retention settings and then deleted automatically. Data on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Your choices
- Turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.
- Uninstall the app to stop all data collection and remove locally stored data.
- Email us to request deletion of any analytics or crash data associated with your installation.
Children
The app is a general-audience finance tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Accuracy of calculations
Results are informational estimates. Verify rates, tax rules and product terms with the relevant institution or a qualified adviser before making financial decisions.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The effective date above shows the latest version.
